The pie chart is not very effective, because it is very hard to compare the categories that have slices of roughly the same size.

The bar chart is also not very effective, because some of the bars appear to have roughly the same height and thus it is difficult to compare these categories.

A Pareto chart is the most effective, because we know that the number of members (in millions) decreases as the bar is more to the right and thus it is still easy to compare bars that have roughly the same height.
